Hardwood Laminate Flooring - Pergo, Armstrong
 

Bruce Laminate Flooring

Manufactured by Bruce Flooring, this floor shown is engineered hardwood.

Engineered wood is real wood, but instead of one solid piece it consists of three to 10 thin layers of wood, called plies, that are assembled and glued in a cross-ply construction.

The top layer of wood can range from 1/16" to 1/6" thick. Overall board thickness ranges from 1/4" to 3/4". Due to its multi-ply structure, engineered wood is much more stable than solid wood and is less susceptible to shrinking and expanding with changes in temperatures and humidity

Shown: Bruce- Gunstock Oak

Shown at the right is another Bruce engineered product. The finish is a natural oak.

This particular product was a staple down installation. Bruce flooring comes in ways, staple down and interlocking. A third method to replace the staple down is to glue the product to the floor. This is generally done in a concrete floor situation.
Armstrong Laminate Flooring

Laminate flooring is a photographic impression applied to simulate wood. This layer is applied to a high density fiberboard. A wear layer is applied to the top for protection.
Pergo Laminate Flooring & New Baseboard Moulding Installation - Pergo flooring installation. Removed old 2 1/2" baseboard moulding and installed 7 1/2" high baseboard with decorative corners.

Bruce Gunstock Engineered Flooring - This particular flooring, as shown below, was an interlocking product referred to as "Fold and Lock". This job also included replacing all the interior slab doors with 6 panel. The room was painted and new baseboard and casing moulding was installed.
